 I'm not 100% sure, but when you compile GCC, it asks you do you want a
cross compiler, and it'll offer to compile for about thiry platforms, from
the latest hitachi CPUs that the new playstation use, to 6805's.

 Getting it to compile for a different OS is more a matter of getting the
other OS's header files etc (which is why it's not in the main GCC
branch). GCC ships with some docs describing how to go about building GCC
to compile for Solaris, PalmOS, SCO etc.

 Of course, it's a lot less hassle just to get an RPM ;)
