#Just had a though that harks back to the discussion on what to call the
#upcoming LAID II a few weeks back. How about calling the
#weekend 'Linux
#Ireland' or Linux Expo 2000 or Irish Linux EXhibition/EXpo 2000 - which
#could be shorted to ILEX 2000?

What's wrong with just calling it LAID 2000? Granted, it is a tad
on the boring side but I think that the importance of these annual
Awareness days/expositions is to showcase and demonstrate to people
how much Linux has progressed and how capable an operating system it
is.
With that in mind, I don't think there is any need to keep coming
up with catchy names for the expositions. I have a feeling that
most people would rather keep their eyes open for shows of the same
name rather than keep a lookout for a show of a different name each
year.
(Though the biannual HOPE, HIP, HAL camps are good opposing examples).
