[ILUG] Kernel too big error (but smaller than orig..)

Hi guys,

A friend of mine in our head office has been playing around with Linux
lately (good for him). Anyway he tried a Kernel compile for the first
time (following the guidlines in Linux Format) and got most of it to
work. However when he runs lilo he gets an error saying that the image
is too big. The funny thing is he says that the image he built is
smaller than the original version that came with his distro (Mandrake
7.0). I've not got any of the details or the lilo.conf so I told him to
double check the symlinks in his /boot dir and perhaps to try using
make bzImage.

Anyone got any other suggestions I could through at him.

Cheers,
Glen
