I think he is referring to a IrDA receiver so that you can use your Palm to
beam info to a PC that doesn't have an IrDA port be default, for example.
Or use a remote control with your PC.

They are available, and I do remember seeing someone in RTE using one at an
Internet Expo in the RDS. But I have no idea where you would get one. Did
you try Peats?
