Thats actually excellent news. Its something that I have never used but
I wanted to get a look at it. I might give this a run for the day and
see how it goes. Actually for what its worth seeing as "open source" has
been so horrifically devalued as a term I almost didn't even bother looking
at the url except that it was a redhat/cygnus one, its released under the
GPL so its the real 'free software' deal. I never particularly worried about
these semantics until I was at the linuxtag and the awesome amount of
commercial and semicommercial companies "open sourcing" "parts" of code
and otherwise doing their utmost not to GPL/LGPL just muddies the water
to such an extent that you have to do a lot of work to see if you can
actually use any of the code or contribute back without getting taken for
a ride (plan 9).
On the other hand Im just taking advantage of my new found ability to flaunt
my moral superiority. It'd serve me right if there was a little buglet in
the GPLing of SO which shafted the whole deal.
