I think the 2/Si is an onboard rebadged adaptec chipset. One can download
redhat 6.1 and 6.2 boot floppies from Dell's web site for the 2/Si, apparently.
Click on support, type in your machine's tag number (five letters/digits)
and go looking for the word "linux".
