Hi all,
came back from holidays to find our RH6.1/2.2.12 box spewing

172.x.x.x sent an invalid ICMP error to a broadcast

on the console every 30 secs or so - 172.x.x.x is an address within the
network.

Our box is on a network shared with netware/NT boxen, and behind firewalls.
The machine at 172.x.x.x is an NT machine I believe.

I checked the web, and a posting in the linux kernel mailing list suggests

# echo 1 > icmp_ignore_bogus_error_responses

as a solution, but with no explanation of what's causing the error, or how
the solution works.

Advice welcome ....

Gary
