Yes, you must. I just ordered an Athlon (it's for a project, but it's going
to get snaffled and swapped with my K6-III) so I'll give you a kernel
compile figure shortly. My gut feeling is that a 750MHz Athlon will be
faster than 2 x 500MHz Celerons for a first compile, though with enough RAM,
I'd doubt there'd be much in it second time round. Another thing in favour
of the Athlon is that it might stay up - from what one hears of dual
Celeron boards, they're stable enough for Windows users, but not for a real
OS. I'm sure there must be other more stable boards though.
