I need to reboot one oy my boxes in dublin and last time i did this, it
went into maintenance mode and asked for root to run fsck.
Is there any way to know before hand if this is going to happen?
I've just ran fsck.ext2 -n /dev/sda* and two of the partitions are showing
"Block bitmap differences", plus theres the usualy scattering of zero time
inodes as well.
About the best I was thinking, is to kick everyone off, kill every
non-essntial process and the unmount some of the partitions and run fsck
on them before the reboot, but the problem is that the / partition is the
one reporting the most potential problems.
Can I know for certain? or should I just wait until I can have somebody
standing in front of the box while it reboots?
Cheers,
Dave
