Hi Liam,
I think the address are correct - this is basically a
repeat of a RH6.0 installation I did about 6 months
ago, and the details are the same, as far as I know, i.e
IP Address 193.1.31.xx
255.255.255.0
Gateway 193.1.31.1
Name Server 193.1.24.10
One thing that does appear different is the identification
of the network card itself: RH 6.0 identifies it as
NE2000 and compatible, whereas Rh 6.2 identifies it as
the Apricot 82596.
I've just tried it using Mandrake 7.0 via NFS and it
is working - and picking up the network card as
NE2000 and compatible. I wonder is it a RH6.2 problem?
Thanks,
Cormac.
