Well I'm not a marketing head, _but_:
1. could put a page up www.linux.ie about this with
a form/mail link to either collate the info by cgi
or send it to you.
If it'd be of any help I don't see any problems of having
a linux.ie mail alias set up for this.

2. Ask petitioners and maintainers of appropriate websites
to link to that (main) page. This could include .cork,
glug, intersocs, skynet and all other compsocs along with,
say hackerwatch.

3. Write an open letter about this, send it to the Irish Times
and a few more reputable newspapers.

and somebody somewhere not a million miles from where I am
sitting said he could get things mentioned on 2FM... B->

that's how I'd do it anyways.
