[ILUG] LILO won't install on RH6.0

Guys,

I'm trying to install RedHat 6.0 on an oldish HP Vectra. Works great,
except when I try to install LILO, or create a bootdisk.

The friendly blue install screen just says, "An error occured during step
'Install bootloader' of the install" (same for create bootdisk).

The messages in Alt-F3 say:

* installed kernel version 2.2.5-15
* installed kernel version 2.2.5-15
* running: /bin/insmod /bin/insmod /modules/loop.o
* insmod failed!

Any idea what to do?
