I have a new Dell OptiPlex with a Travan tape drive which takes
8Gb tapes (one tape supplied, how nice of them :-)
a. How do I find out what /dev is assigned to this device?
b. Do I even know if RH 5.2 spotted it during install? All
the recognition stuff that flashes past at boot time is
apparently not logged anywhere (ie there's no /var/log/boot.log)
c. If it didn't get recognised, has anyone any suggestions for
drivers?
