my thoughts exactly, I don't think we have the sort of crowd who IRC all
day ( I suspect most people on this list work in one form or another) and
most places I have ever worked frown upon IRC'ing, (I remember
#ireland, while working in Intel :-) also most firewalls
totally kill it,

There was talk of an Irish IRC network at some stage, someone approached
skynet admin with it the idea before but it seemed to fizzle out quite
quickly ....
