Im not to sure what the actual distance is but my own connection
at home is a total of 4 phones in various locations around the house max
distance from
main port about 20m, on top that there is about 20m of cable including a
cable extender
to the modem so the distance Im working with is about 40m with one extender.
Regarding quality I have noticed no drop in connection or download times,
using an
external USR 56k VoiceFax, and the typical connection speeds range from
45333kb to 44000kb
while dialling through Indigo.

Best Regards
Robert
