I don't think John "Quake" Carmack has much of a connection to Ireland,
but his .plan for yesterday (30/5/99) makes good, objective, non-biased
reading.

I work for RTE, and I use Linux wherever I feel it's appropriate. Any
time I see two companies tendering for a job, one with an NT based
system the other with a Linux system (or any other kind of UNIX bar
SCO), the latter will get lots more brownie points. However I'm in
development, not really "IT" as such and most of my development work is
based on pre-existing systems. Much of my work is done on the archaic
QNX2 OS.
