Is there also features to make it keep a list of everyone who gets a vacation
message, so that only one message is send to everyone who mails him during the
holiday, regardless of repeated mails. And while Im at it could it check the
headers of the incoming mail for some line along the line of X-Vacation-OptOut.
vacation messages rank one half step below "get rich quick" in annoyance
generation.
Actually why do people want vacation programs anyway, you don't have a
neighbour check the return addresses of your postal mail and send helpful
replies to all the senders, when I get "so and so is out of the office", I tend
to just go looking for heavy ordnance. If its just for internal in a company,
running a website with whos on holidays seems better. Generally though its
a pity classic finger person at domain place doesn't have a modern equivalent ?, or
is there even a standardized vacation header that all similiar programs
should have or be coerced into using.
