Hi,
I have a java programme that sends a DatagramPacket to a DatagramSocket. It
works grand on WinNT, but on Linux the send function throws an IO Exception.

The code that creates the DatagramPacket and sends the packet is:

     DatagramPacket listPacket = new DatagramPacket(
                        listCommand.getBytes(), listCommand.length(),
                        destIPAddress, udpPort);

     udpSocket.send(listPacket);

listPacket is created successfully is valid
udpSocket is an open udpSocket

I have tried with the Sun jdk1.2 and jdk1.3, IBM java 1.3 and the latest
version of blackdown java. All generate the same exception.

Has anybody come across this before?
Is there some option in the Linux kernel that I need to set?

Conor
