Just an update on this.
1. iol did have a problem for 6 months on the ftp server.
2. they "fixed it" now by installing a new server at domain users.iol.ie
(on friday! and no sysadmins work at domain weekend to fix
problems according to support?).
3. Now I can log in but iol support can't :-) though I guess
I was just lucky I got in.
4. The muppets only copied the ~/public_html directory from
the previous server!!!! for fsck sake.
Padraig.
