It was actually relatively painless, unlike trying to update four RH6.1
machines without CD drives to RH7.0, which took two days...
Couldn't find any IMAP support in Outlook 98, but the same machine had
Outlook Express installed. Simply imported from OE File menu, selected
Outlook, and sat back while it copied the messages over.
Then I set up an IMAP account in OE for the user, and copied the
messages from the local inbox to the IMAP inbox. Deleted user account in
OE, configured Netscape Messenger on the linux box as POP3, and grabbed
all the messages.
As I said, relatively painless. However, the user had all her mail in
one folder; could have been a lot more complicated if she had loads of
different folders...
