well the idea is based on the fact that xcdroast needs sg (SCSI Generic).
I guess cdrecord needs to be able to talk to the recorder direct although
I dont know for a fact. If you are using ide-scsi, do not forget you will
need SCSI Generic support in your kernel or the module available.
"cdrecord --scanbus" will tell you if everything is all right
