There isn't an alternative that's all-in-one package. For centralised
address books, you need an LDAP server. Mozilla, Outlook and Mutt can all
get mail aliases from an LDAP server. You can even get Win2k and Linux to
authenticate from that.
As for shared calendars - there are manyweb based ones. Take your pick. I
don't honestly know if they integrate with LDAP though.
