it is yes. basically:
we use outlook->smtp->sendmail.
but we need to change everyones outlook settings cause our
requirements at the moment are bit more complicated than sendmail
masquerading can do, and i'd like to avoid a terribly unmaintanable
genericstable setup. (that'd just be a layer of lookups and rewrites
too far methinks)
someone was moaning that all this'd be easy with exchange...
so now i need a way to change people's settings from a logon script.

neither have i, and i never intend to. if unix was to die, methinks
i'd go do some interesting like 2-stroke engine tuning, rather than
take up MS admining. :)
