That's effectively what I got:
[brendan at domain wivenhoe ltr]$ ssh brendan at domain isergp3.essex.ac.uk type scp
brendan at domain remote.machine's password:
scp is /bhps/dist/os/bin/scp
And that's part of the default path.
However, I reckon there the installation at one or other end is
screwed up. If I try to ssh from there to here the authentication
fails (three goes at the password then disconnect):
May 31 16:42:58 wivenhoe sshd[2057]: Failed password for brendan from 555.555.50.24 port 46966 ssh2
May 31 16:43:05 wivenhoe last message repeated 2 times
May 31 16:43:05 wivenhoe sshd[2057]: Failed none for brendan from 555.555.50.24 port 46966 ssh2
May 31 16:43:06 wivenhoe sshd[2057]: Received disconnect from 555.555.50.24: 14: No further authentication methods available.
I hate this stage: trying to figure out *how* something works and
*whether* it works, at the same time.
