What about cable modems.....
Aren't the cable company using them themselves anyways :) ?
I know NTL are supplying it in tallaght and Chorus are doing it in a few
areas in cork....
So couldn't you use the cable modems to connect to each other if your
running along the same wire.
So if the cable companies use them ... wouldn't that mean that their
approved for use on their cable network...
that is of course unless your using MMDS which is a pain in the ring for
networking and the cable companies are having problems getting it working
over MMDS themselves.

Ah. You do realise that if you could get it working, that the noise
generated by the TV company would kill your network connection. And, that
the noise generated by your network cards would destroy the TV signal.
