Have you looked at Cygwin?

i want to run a linux application from an ms-dos command batch file.

I have an NT box and a rh7 linux machine, and an windows app than feeds data
into a linux app that feeds back into a windows app.

So i want an msdos batch file that runs all three parts of the system in one
go.
Porting the NT part of the system to linux is not an option :(
