hey all,
I've just installed RedHat 6.2 and it won't boot.
I set up LiLo to occupy the mbr but when my
computer boots, there is no sign of LiLo. It just
boots directly into windows.
The final part of the install asked me to create a
boot disk, which i did, but when i try to use this, it
gives me:
boot error: 1 x 10
I have a RedHat rescue disk but am clueless as how
to install LiLo into the mbr again. The bash shell i get
with the rescue disk sucks, it is very limited and doesn't
have any man pages (which are always very useful).
can anyone help or do i need to reinstall? i'm only asking
here because ive looked everywhere else (google, linux.ie
mail archives, even *shudder* on IRC).
help is appreciated,
