Ordinary GSM will give you a max of 14.4kbps ...
Eircell (and the 62xx) support HSCSD (High Speed Circut Switched Data -
IIRC) which can reach speeds of 112.5 kbps over the air ... As Niall
mentioned, Eircell currently support 28.8 either way or better download and
lower upload ....
