[ILUG] Progeny Debian

I have built a custom kernel for the above but any attempt to install with
dpkg results in the following

dpkg: regarding kernel-image-2.2.18_Custom.1.00_i386.deb containing
kernel-image-2.2.18:
 pcmcia-modules-2.2.18 conflicts with kernel-image-2.2.18 (>> 1.64)
kernel-image-2.2.18 (version Custom.1.00) is to be installed.
dpkg: error processing kernel-image-2.2.18_Custom.1.00_i386.deb
(--install):
conflicting packages - not installing kernel-image-2.2.18

When attempting this under Debian 2.2 there used to be an error
message and instructions but as far as I can recall you could
always remove the PCMCIA modules at the install stage.

Also, printer driver database is quite extensive and lists my printer
Lexmark 3200 but any attempt to print results in nothing. Anybody got
this printer to work?

Overall very impressed by this distro (which I bought) but manual ain't
great and still no support available from Progeny.

Any help much appreciated.
