[ILUG] 2.4.0 problem

Hey,

I just compiled 2.4.0 on RH7.0 successfully (or so I think,
haven't ran it in yet).

Anyway, I'm using the ne module for my ethernet card (I used the
same module in 2.2.16-22). I'm getting the following error and I
don't even know where to start to sort it out:

eth0: trigger_send() called with the transmitter busy.
Hw, address read/write mismap 0
Hw, address read/write mismap 1
Hw, address read/write mismap 2
Hw, address read/write mismap 3
Hw, address read/write mismap 4
Hw, address read/write mismap 5

This just keeps repeating so I had to ifdown eth0 so I could use
the console.

Anyone seen this before or know where I should start debugging?
