A little more information would help... is there a gateway between them
e.g
10.2.13.40
gateway 10.2.10.8
could ping everthing on 10.2.*.*
but not 192.168.*.*
unless you add 10.2.10.8 as your default route
route add 0.0.0.0 10.2.10.8 (or whatever it is for debian)
and the same for the other side
Keith.

Subject: [ILUG] Ping one way - not the other
Hi - we have 2 debian boxes here (DebA and DebB) which are having problems
talking to each other.
DebA can ping DebB no problems
DebA can ping all other boxes on the network
DebB cannot ping DebA
DebB can ping all other boxes on the network
All machines on the network can ping DebB - all except DebB can ping DebA..
all of the boxes are on the same subnet and have the same broadcast.
Where should I begin looking for the answer to this...
Cheers,
Fergal
