To run Dual-Proc, you will need the same processor Family, Model and
Stepping...otherwise the SMP logic in the BIOS wont recognise the second
processor.

As far as CD-RW's and Linux go......isn't it time there was a HCL per Linux
platform? (maybe there is and I am in for a barrage of smart replies! ;P )

AFAIK no motherboard will be particularly happy
if you run different speed processors... especially
given that a 500Mhz AMD chip is going to be Slot A,
and a 1.3 GHz one will be Socket A.

They even should be the same stepping if possible,
to be sure that it'll work..

I've bought stuff from them, and it has worked. But
they just import it from the UK (so their modems
are UK spec for example).

As far as the CD-Writer goes, if you can find any details,
have a look on cdrecord's homepage for a list of supported
CD writers... if it's a bog standard IDE one, you'll have
the usual problems getting ide-scsi working, but it
should work okay..
