welllll...

it's more "We won't say this will work" but various people have run
multi processor of the bog standard Athlon..

that said, there's only one motherboard as you say, and it's mad
expensive (it's a Tyan server board, and comes in at $500, it has
AGP Pro, built in SCSI, dual ethernet, 64bit 66Mhz PCI etc... the
kinda thing every home user needs <g>)

according to various sources, cheaper boards will be available Q3, which
means sometime around christmas usually..
