I have a situation on an Apache server (1.3.19) on a RH6.2 box (though I'm
sure that's not relevant) where .htaccess files are being ignored. Does
anyone have any suggestions ? The files are there, they are readable by the
user apache is running as, and the config files appear to be set up
correctly i.e. they're left at pretty much the default as far as access
control goes, so the access control file name is .htaccess etc.
I've compared that config file with one on another box where .htaccess is
working as advertised and they look about the same, barring of course the
obvious differences for the different domains being hosted.
Can anyone make any suggestions as this is a somewhat critical and urgent
