hey all,

thanks for the advice. the only reason
i asked was because there was a 1.3Ghz
AMD (K7??) processor for £269 in Peats
and i could have bought a 500Mhz for
£65 in Maplin's, i just reckoned the extra
processor power would have been handy.

As far as i know the cd-rw *is* a ``bog-standard''
ide and i have since read about sorting that out
in LinuxFormat (which btw rules!!).
