Is that something to do with the multimode thingy? or is that
something else entirely?
(do you have 2.2.19, or 2.4.5, there are a lot of IDE fixes in 2.4.5 anyway)

It is? I haven't been using it and mine working fine (that said, I never
have more than one device per channel)
