Hi Nils,
Try using a new floppy.
If this doesn't work try a (different) new floppy.
Sometimes it's a case of fourth time lucky...
Also try putting the floppy disk drive that you made the boot floppy
with in the Dell machine.
Linux boot floppies are a bit less tolerant of bad disks / miscalibrated
floppy drives than dos boot discs.
