That is correct: The six-disk set includes four floppies crammed full
of drivers, giving you the ability to support initially an incredibly
wide variety of hardware -- and the installer support about the widest
possible choice of installation methods. There are several alternative
sets with fewer floppies, if you don't need that much flexibility.

People continue to have ongoing problems with bad floppy quality, not to
mention out-of-alignment and dirt-impaired floppy drives. (Try using
good floppies? ;-> )
