Amavis runs virus checkers on email. What you'll need to do is setup a
firewall that redirects incoming port 25 traffic to amavis, and then have
it send on the mail to the target mailserver. Not that easy, but it's all
mentioned in Amavis.
I don't know are there any free virus checkers though - you will have to
buy something like Dr Solomons, and pay for updates etc. Amavis just runs
the virus checker - it doesn't check viruses itself.
