hi all,
was wondering if anyone could help me install linux on an Alpha XL300

i have tried debian but not much luck and have gotten farther with RH7
i bootwith milo

type boot -t iso9660 sr0:kernels/vmlinux.gz root=/dev/sr0

the linux distro starts to boot but give a Kernel Panic : cant mount
boo device on 00:00 (this bit changes)

i have tried it with root=/dev/cdrom, root=/cdrom

i have read thru the RH manual and www.alphalinux.org
but all without much luck.

im getting kinda desperate so any help would be appreciated.
