IOL has been, and it looks like it still is, a mess for the last few
days. Try visiting www.iol.ie right now and see what I mean.
A couple of nights ago I (as a paying IOL subscriber) couldn't
connect through IOL to anything on heanet. Two esat routers
appeared to be doing some mutual finger pointing about the route
to heanet. And even when it works the service through IOL has
been appallingly slow for a number of days. I'm collecting and
training up the pigeons right now. I reckon they'll be a lot faster.
I think Chris Horn is right. Telecoms in this country is headed
back down the tubes.
