Ahh, don't do that. Your linux partition is already booted and mounted.
Using it in vmware is a recipe for disaster, no wonder it's fscking.
It's like two separate computers using the same partition - fs
corruption gauranteed.
Be careful booting Windows - remember vmware emulates a completely
different computer than your one, use a different hardware profile
in Windows as someone else has already said.
