There's been a lot of talk about the Apple's and G4's here in the office
of late. So I was wondering the following.
a) Does gcc compile for G4 and include optimizations for the AltiVec (?)
engine. If not will it or is this something Apple have an exclusive
license over.
b) Is there much of a problem with Linux sources. Most of the code out
there will be written by people owning an x86. Are there code issues
with regards to endian'ness differences of x86 and PPC.
