hi,

erm, the current version of slackware is 8.0
though. there are notices on both the gnome
and kde websites that say 7.1 is not supported.
I reckon its something to do with library dependencies
or something. Possibly even just the version
of xfree86 7.1 runs.

is it not that gnome do not support slackware. AFAIK there are gnome 1.4
tgz's in the current branch on slackware's FTP server.
