The number for applying to get on the trial was posted in ie.comp on July
3rd (1 800 503 303). One of the guys I work with called about 2 weeks ago,
and they told him that the trial was closedm but they indicated that they
were looking at £80/month, which is far beyond what I'm willing to pay for
home use. (I've got a nice fat T1 in work if I need something big).
The service is 512Kb/s downstream and (I think) 128Kb/s upstream. There is
a choice of USB or Ethernet "modems" (Alcatel Speed Touch Home).
Connection is by PPPoE. The exchanges involved in this trial are
Sandyford, Dundrum, Ballyboden, Rathmines, Tallaght, Walkinstown,
Terenure, Priory Park, Crown Alley, Sandyford RSU.
