I'm not sure about redhat, but I have mandrake 8 on
the back 5 GB on a 20GB drive , and the versions of
both GRUB and lilo that came with it have no problems at all.
The laptop is booting NT4 , W2k and Mandrake Quite happily,
I installed them in that order, and there where no problems.

Subject: [ILUG] Re: Dual boot W2K + RH7.1
I have a 20GB HDD. Would it be possible for me to simply resize the W2K
partition to say 16GB and install RH7.1 on the rest or would I have to
create space closer to the start of the disk?
Dave
Hi
I've done that before - just confirming that it should work:
I started with a blank drive, created the partitions,
Installed 2K first and then RH7.0, installing LILO
on the MBR.

I tried doing it and failed. My problem was that the win2k partition took up
the whole drive and Partition Magic 6 has a bug that prevents win2k NTFS
partitions being resized or moved. If you have space on your drive for
Linux's
partitions i don't see why it should be any different from dual booting
other OS'es. I think it would be best if win2K was installed first and then
use LILO on the MBR during RH7.1 installation.
