Indeed it was - and it was very very useful! Now, it didn't find any of
my ReiserFS partitions, but I had left a copy of my MBR on the Linux root
partition - not very useful when there was no partition table, but very
useful when the root partition was found :-)
And my sound card (ymfpci module) doesn't seem to cause the machine to
hang on suspend anymore with 2.4.9!
And I've had the pleasure of seeing my keyboard fixed with Christmas tree
lights and a gas soldering iron last night - now THERE'S a story to tell
my children... :)
