Hi all
Recently put redhat 7.1 on my Portege (nice machine btw, I heartily
recommend it) and have a couple of minor issues which I was wondering if
any of you guys could advise me on:
(1) reading ilug digests in Mozilla - it has this nifty little feature
where it spots the "--" signature header and text thereafter is greyed
out until it spots a line beginning with a > - unfortunately due to the
nature of the digest this means that it greys out entire mails! Anybody
know how to turn this off?
(2) the pointing device on the Portege (a 3490CT) - works fine under
Doze but doesn't work under Linux (don't even see any interrupts on
irq12 in /proc/interrupts when I wiggle the nipple) until I have plugged
or unplugged the port replicator, i.e. if I boot with the replicator in,
I have to take it out; if I boot with it out, I have to plug it in.
There is presumably some flag being set deep down in the hardware
somewhere which causes the beast to default to thinking it has an
external device attached when it doesn't. Anybody have any ideas on this?
