At the risk of contributing to a pointless flamewar, Kevin's response
was restrained in light of the topic at hand. Sure, a tenner's a bit
steep, but it's a chance to make your opinion count instead of sitting
in a pub spending the same money, and more, on a few pints. Failing to
recognise Kevin's point and merely flaming him for his style of
delivery is a greater fault than Kevin's 'rudeness'.
