[ILUG] IBM DOS 5.0 - absolutely and completely OT

As I said, this is absolutely and completely OT but you can regard it as a
little charity gig, if any of you can help me. A neighbour asked me if I had
an old hard drive to put in her 86 year old father's PC (the father's 86,
not the PC, though it's not far short). To cut a long story short, I now
have the PC. Its own hard drive appears OK in that I can boot from a 'doze
floppy and have a look around. However, the hard disk won't boot. I'm
confident that if I had a bootable floppy I'd be able to simply do a SYS C:
and the old dude would be happily playing Solitaire and Freecell again,
which is all he does with it.

However, the box has 'doze 3.x on it, and IBM DOS 5.0, and although I've a
lot of junk hanging around, I don't have IBM DOS 5.0. So, here's the begging
part - if anyone has an old box hanging around running IBM DOS 5.0 (I know,
I'm pushing it) would they be so kind as to make a bootable floppy (FORMAT
A: /S, in case it's been a long time), dd the floppy into a file, gzip said
file and mail it to me. You'll make an old man very happy (two, if you count
me who'll be quite happy to get this particular monkey off his back).

Regards,

Niall
